Offsite Data Storage
An effective backup solution includes multiple copies of data stored in multiple locations and includes the ability to remotely access and quickly and effectively restore data when needed.
Rover Echo delivers the added expediency of transferring data offsite for further data protection, remote access and restoration requirements. From your server or Echo Depot appliance data can be transferred via a secure Internet connection to a Rover data facility. Data transfer occurs throughout the day and/or at predetermined times based upon your requirements. Following the initial full data backup, minimizing bandwidth requirements and degradation to your machine’s performance. Files are copied only when they are saved.
Remote Access
Users will have access to offsite storage through a mapped drive on their local machine. With an authenticated login and password users can map a drive on a different machine if the need arises.
